I felt like God was speaking directly to me. It was just what I needed. It was the first time in a long time that I was able to worship.

God spoke directly to me. I needed this. For the first time in a long time, I was able to worship. Something happened today that could have derailed my attitude, but it did not.

Will you please come to my church? I tried to use every excuse I could think of to NOT come today but I am really glad that I was here. It was just what I needed.
Michelle
Thank you for blessing me. The Holy Spirit was definitely here today. That "tend your garden" story was exactly what I needed to hear.

This conference helped me put my own heart in order in relation to what I'm struggling with in my marriage.

Thank You! It was so good. We enjoyed the worship and messages. The "uprooted" to "rooted" message was so powerful . . . still feeding on it. You and your team did a good job.

I read that laughter is when happiness is made into something we can “see and hear.” Joni gave happiness a face, a mouth, and a message. I could see the results all around me.

Finding the Extraordinary In the Ordinary: The Meaning of Mundane Ministry Moments
On our best days, we listen to the voice inside that wants to answer Yes to God. We stand humbly reporting for duty. Then other days we feel lost in the needy mass of humanity. But it’s important to remember that as laborers for God, each one of us plays a part, but God does the real work in the hearts of those we serve. He breathes life into our pitiful attempts to obey.

Called to Community
In order to share our lives, we actually have to be willing to share some life. The thing that connects us is faith. Our commitment to God. That supersedes things like social status, common interests, even human needs because our souls live forever. When we begin to offer that connection with God to people around us, we begin to see them like Jesus does, as eternal souls.

Highly Favored
When the angel came to Mary, he told her she would carry the Christ child saying, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.” Luke 1: 28 (NIV) I heard someone ask in wonder, “Can you imagine being the one to carry the Christ child to the world?” Then it occurred to me, that’s exactly who I am, someone who gets to carry the Christ child to the world.

If You Ain't Learning, You Ain't Livin
My own life has been punctuated by moments when a few simple words redirected my faith walk. My friend learned to trust Jesus from simple words spoken to her while in a state hospital with tuberculosis. Putting words into action can transform them from simple to profound.

Rooted in Obedience
On the way to a church coed softball game, during a lull in conversation, a lady in the back seat pointed to a speed limit sign and said, “Did you know that’s not just a suggestion?” Even though you’ll not get a ticket, obeying God is not just a suggestion either.

Rooted in Forgiveness
On his deathbed, my friend Ron Mattox talked about his salvation. “I had a needle in my arm and a doobie in my mouth and God came to me and said, ‘I’ve got you.’ He did not ask me to clean up first. He took me the way I was.”

Opening the Door
I am the only one who is inconsistent in this friendship with God. The first time I opened the door to God, I was seven years old. Friendship is a personal experience that you have to contribute to yourself. Opening the door to God is all about surrender.
